Tip of the Day - November '09

11/30/09 - "Who left his pants in the garbage?" Scavenging nodes have a small chance of giving out high-value loot like armor or weapons, so search every bag of trash you find.

11/29/09 - In addition to selling components, Science merchants also offer eye wear. A pair of safety glasses might be a lousy fashion statement, but the perception bonus does come in handy.

11/28/09 - In combat, it pays to dream big! You will receive more experience for killing enemies of a higher level than yourself.

11/27/09 - If you're plateauing on skill advancement, be sure to assign APs to core skills like strength or intelligence. Besides increasing your maximum skill potential, this will also raise all skills derived from those stats.

11/26/09 - Prairie Turkeys are a lot like Prairie Chickens, except that they taste better with gravy and don't actually exist.

11/25/09 - Broken armor has all the protective ability of used tissues. If you want to survive in combat, keep your equipment in good repair.

11/24/09 - Mounts can outrun whatever mobs you encounter. If you're in a hurry and hear an aggro sound, just keep on riding!

11/23/09 - If you click the Auto 1st Person box in the Options menu, you will automatically switch to 1st Person view whenever you enter Aim Mode.

11/22/09 - You cannot brush your teeth in Fallen Earth. NOTE: This tip does not apply outside of the game.

11/21/09 - Sometmes you want to go where everybody knows your handle. Check out the Fallen Earth forums at http://forums.fallenearth.com/fallenearth/.

11/20/09 - Instinct will only get you so far. Don't forget to pick up new Mining and Harvesting knowledges from your local tradeskill trainer.

11/19/09 - "How do I do that again?" Access the Help Tips window at any time by clicking the ? Symbol on your Menu Toolbar.

11/18/09 - Barter Vaults and Sector Vaults have separate storage spaces, so you've got twice the storage! Just remember that not every town has a Barter Vault.

11/17/09 - If you want to take missions from multiple factions, avoid killing faction guards. Nothing sours a relationship like mass-murdering somebody's friends.

11/16/09 - While you cannot harvest humans in Fallen Earth, you can really creep people out by asking about it.

11/15/09 - If you abandon or fail a chained mission, go back to the last NPC who gave you a mission in that chain.

11/14/09 - Town events are a great way to get awesome loot and loads of experience. Try the one in Boneclaw!

11/13/09 - "Did you see that ???!!!" Take a screenshot by pressing [CTRL] [Q].

11/12/09 - Quick on the click! You can wield and holster weapons by double-clicking on them on your character's body.

11/11/09 - Choose your destiny! Access the "Character Build" menu in the Skills window for a guide to spending your APs.

11/10/09 - Overwhelmed by zombies? These slow-moving enemies are vulnerable to ranged weapons. Run away from the pack. then turn and shoot them before they get close.

11/09/09 - When leading a team into Kingman Prison to take on Casta Gaunt's army, "Let's just see what happens" is not a viable strategy.

11/08/09 - Take a side! Faction-specific equipment and skills can offer huge bonuses, so choose your loyalties carefully.

11/07/09 - Most refine recipes are located under Science, but steel and other metals are located under Geology.

11/06/09 - Make the horse carry it! Mounts and vehicles have their own inventory space.

11/05/09 - If you have the appropriate repair kit, you can repair your weapons and armor by right-clicking on them and selecting "repair".

11/04/09 - If you meet someone role-playing a paladin, just don't take to him.

11/03/09 - Headed for a boss fight? Buffs from food, drink, pills, mutations, and special abilities can all be active simultaneously.

11/02/09 - Hone your legend! You can filter the map and the icon bar at the bottom of the screen to show the icons you want to see.

11/01/09 - Practice makes better! Using your tradeskills will increase their value.
